Managing teams & groups
Updated July 25, 2026
Teams and groups both bundle people together, for different jobs. A team gives its members a role across the workspace — lead, member, contributor or viewer. A group is a set of people you can grant one specific resource to. Both live under Manage, and both need a paid plan.
Create a team
- Open Manage → Teams and choose "New team".
- Give it a name and create it — it appears as a card.
- Click the card to open the team.
Add and remove members
Inside a team, choose "Add member", search for a person by name or email — you never paste an ID — pick them, choose a role, and add. They appear in the members table with their role and the date they joined.
- Remove a member with the trash icon on their row.
- Retire a team entirely with "Delete team" — its memberships and grants go with it.
Removing someone from a team, or deleting the team, withdraws their access at once — this is how you deprovision people who leave.
Groups and grants
Groups handle membership the same way, but instead of a workspace role they hold grants: a group can be given specific permissions on a specific resource. Open a group to see its members and its grants, and revoke any grant you no longer want.
