Managing BipPass in the browser
Updated July 25, 2026
Everything the CLI does — plus a few things it does not, like approving devices and managing teams — can be done in the web app. This page maps the app so the task guides that follow can stay short.
Sign in and unlock
Sign in with your email and password. Because your secrets are encrypted with a key only your password can unlock, some pages — Secrets, and anything that creates a project — ask you to "Unlock encryption" once per session: just enter your account password. Your keys stay in the browser; the server never receives them.
Reloading a page clears the unlocked key from memory — that is the zero-knowledge design, not a bug. If a page shows "Unlock encryption", re-enter your password to carry on.
Home
After signing in you land on Home: your organisation at a glance — how many workspaces, projects and secrets you have, how many devices are waiting for approval, and a resource chart. Below that, your workspaces; open one to work in it, or choose "New workspace".
Inside a workspace
The left sidebar has Dashboard, Projects and Manage. Dashboard shows the workspace at a glance, Projects is where secrets live, and Manage is the admin hub.
The Manage hub
Manage gathers every administrative area of a workspace into groups:
- Access — Members, Device approvals, Teams, Groups, Access policies and Roles
- Integrations — OIDC trust, Service accounts and Webhooks
- Security & governance — Audit log, Leak detection, Compliance and Break-glass
- Settings — Workspace settings
- Organisation — Billing and Organisation settings
Some areas — teams, leak detection, compliance and more — are only on paid plans, and show an upgrade note until then. Use the search box at the top of Manage to jump to an area by name.
